The 2027 UCAS dates
UCAS opened 2027 applications on 12 May 2026 and accepts completed submissions from 1 September. The equal-consideration deadline is 15 October 2026 at 18:00 UK time for Oxford, Cambridge and most medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses; it is 13 January 2027 at 18:00 for most other undergraduate courses.
Academic requirements
Universities decide which international school-leaving qualifications they accept and what grades or subject combinations they require. Use the course page and the institution’s country-specific guidance; do not convert grades yourself from an unofficial chart. Competitive courses commonly expect performance above the published minimum.
English-language evidence
The accepted test, minimum score and component scores vary by university and course. Some applicants can meet English requirements through previous study or another recognised qualification, but only the provider can confirm this. Leave time for a retest before the offer and visa schedule become tight.
The application file
Prepare verified qualification details, predicted results where applicable, a suitable reference and the current UCAS personal-statement responses. Portfolios, written work, interviews or admissions tests apply only to some courses. UCAS is introducing document upload for all 2027 applicants, but follow the exact requests in your account.
Offers, money and CAS
An offer may be conditional on grades, English or documents. Before the university issues a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, you may need to meet conditions and provide financial or identity information. Tuition deposits and refund terms differ, so read them before paying.
Visa and arrival sequence
Apply for the Student visa only when you have the CAS and can meet the current immigration requirements. Plan accommodation, travel and insurance around confirmed dates, not the hoped-for offer. Recheck GOV.UK because visa fees, maintenance evidence and post-study rules can change.
