A different route can mean a different fare

For the Overground closure, the notice permits National Rail paper tickets and e-tickets on specified buses and the District line at no extra charge.

Oyster and contactless passengers pay the normal fares on those alternatives. Read the full acceptance list before choosing a route.

Check again close to departure

The Overground changes are not yet reflected in National Rail’s planner.

Recheck nearer the weekend and plan both directions. Alternative routes through central London may take longer.

Keep the rest of the day local

Put the destination postcode, entrance and meeting point beside the booking.

Leave space between the journey and any timed admission. A nearby meal or walk is easier to adjust than another reservation across London; agree a shorter version of the day before setting off.
