A process, not a new bill

The Budget and Performance Committee is examining the next spending plans.

Its investigation page invites evidence by 15 November 2026 and sets out later sessions, including scrutiny of the Mayor and Transport for London.

Make a submission specific

A useful contribution identifies the service, the proposed priority and the evidence behind a concern.

A missed bus connection, for example, becomes more useful evidence when the route, date and consequence are clear. Personal account details need not become public evidence.

Follow the next version

Drafts, committee questions and a final budget are different documents.

Keep the version and date beside any spending figure you quote. The investigation timetable is a way to follow decisions, not proof that a particular proposal has already been approved.
