What the LONNOW score means
MICHELIN status is attributed to the 2026 MICHELIN Guide and should be rechecked when a new guide is published. The score is a transparent planning score out of ten. It weighs the strength and clarity of the restaurant’s proposition, menu usefulness, London location, transport options, reservation friction, price-to-occasion fit and the quality of official information. It is not a claim that LONNOW anonymously inspected every meal, and it never replaces the MICHELIN distinction or a current menu.
1. CORE by Clare Smyth: what to order and how to get there
Three MICHELIN Stars · 2026 Guide. LONNOW decision score: 9.4/10. Best for: British produce and a milestone meal. Menu direction: Seasonal or classic tasting menu; the restaurant also publishes an à la carte offering. Journey: Tube: Ladbroke Grove or Notting Hill Gate. Bus: 7, 23 or 52 toward Westbourne Grove; finish on foot. The strongest all-round planning choice when food, service and occasion matter equally. The score reflects distinction, menu clarity, reservation planning and transport—not a claimed anonymous meal review. Open the restaurant’s own menu before travelling because dishes, prices, service times and dietary options can change.
2. The Ledbury: what to order and how to get there
Three MICHELIN Stars · 2026 Guide. LONNOW decision score: 9.2/10. Best for: Produce-led modern British cooking. Menu direction: The current tasting sequence; ask the restaurant about dietary substitutions before confirming. Journey: Tube: Westbourne Park or Notting Hill Gate. Bus: 7, 23 or 52 to the Westbourne Grove corridor. Best for diners who want the restaurant to be the evening’s main event. Allow generous time and do not stack a theatre booking after the meal. Open the restaurant’s own menu before travelling because dishes, prices, service times and dietary options can change.
3. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay: what to order and how to get there
Three MICHELIN Stars · 2026 Guide. LONNOW decision score: 9.1/10. Best for: Classical precision and polished service. Menu direction: Choose between the restaurant’s current tasting and à la carte formats; compare total time and supplements before booking. Journey: Tube: Sloane Square. Bus: 11, 19, 22 or 319 along King’s Road; walk south to Royal Hospital Road. A strong choice for a formal celebration and for guests who value a classical dining-room rhythm. Dress guidance and cancellation terms should be checked at booking. Open the restaurant’s own menu before travelling because dishes, prices, service times and dietary options can change.
4. Hélène Darroze at The Connaught: what to order and how to get there
Three MICHELIN Stars · 2026 Guide. LONNOW decision score: 9.0/10. Best for: Mayfair celebration and wine-led dining. Menu direction: Use the current menu published by The Connaught; note optional supplements and pairing costs before committing. Journey: Tube: Bond Street or Green Park. Bus: 13, 23, 74 or 94 to the Oxford Street/Marble Arch side, then walk into Mayfair. Best when a central luxury setting is part of the brief. The Mayfair position makes it easier to add a gallery or hotel-bar stop without another cross-city transfer. Open the restaurant’s own menu before travelling because dishes, prices, service times and dietary options can change.
5. Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester: what to order and how to get there
Three MICHELIN Stars · 2026 Guide. LONNOW decision score: 8.9/10. Best for: Contemporary French fine dining. Menu direction: Compare the restaurant’s current tasting formats and lunch availability; confirm service length directly. Journey: Tube: Hyde Park Corner or Marble Arch. Bus: 2, 13, 16, 36 or 74 along Park Lane and nearby corridors. A practical luxury pick when the day is already centred on Hyde Park or Mayfair. The score is slightly lower only because cost and formality reduce everyday fit. Open the restaurant’s own menu before travelling because dishes, prices, service times and dietary options can change.
Use the top five well
Choose the meal first, then the transport. A destination tasting menu should be the day’s anchor; a quick local classic should sit inside a neighbourhood route. Save the precise branch and entrance, allow for the walk from the station, and keep a bus or step-free alternative. Check TfL on the day for disruption and the venue for late-arrival rules.
Allergies, access and current menus
Tell the restaurant about allergies and access needs before booking, not after arrival. Do not infer halal, vegetarian, gluten-free or allergen-safe preparation from the cuisine name. Menu examples on LONNOW explain the restaurant’s character; the official menu, price, cancellation policy and service charge are the final reference.
