WHAT’S ON

How LONNOW verifies London events and removes stale listings

A useful event listing must answer six questions: what, when, where, price, access and who controls the final information.

01

Use the organiser as the primary checkpoint

Dates and booking routes are checked against the named organiser or host venue. Syndicated calendars and social posts can help discovery but do not control admission.

02

Record a useful venue

A listing needs the venue or area a visitor can actually plan around. Multi-site festivals identify the programme area and route readers to the individual event for the exact entrance.

03

Describe price honestly

Free, free with booking, mixed programme and ticketed are different. LONNOW avoids “free” when a meaningful part of the experience requires payment or registration conditions are unclear.

04

Expire without creating dead ends

Completed events disappear from current calendar results. Durable annual guides can remain with past dates clearly marked and a direct route to the organiser’s next edition.

05

What verified means at LONNOW

A dated listing must identify the responsible organiser or venue, a London location, a start date and an end date or clear final performance. Price and access language is attributed to the official page and is not inferred from an old listing, reseller or social repost. The “last checked” date records when the source was reviewed; it does not promise that capacity or ticket inventory will remain unchanged.

06

How changes are handled

When an organiser changes a date, venue or booking condition, the connected listing and decision surfaces are updated together. A completed event leaves Today, search suggestions and active calendars automatically, while the detail page may remain as a clearly labelled archive if it has continuing reference value. Cancelled and postponed events require explicit status language and an official checkpoint rather than a silent date substitution.

07

What readers should still confirm

Before spending money or travelling, open the named official checkpoint for the exact session. Confirm the venue entrance, door or admission time, age conditions, accessibility arrangements and refund terms. Broad festival dates do not prove that every activity runs daily. When official information is incomplete, LONNOW says so instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
