London Event Match: find the right event for your day

London has too many lists and too little decision support. Event Match scores only current and future organiser-linked listings, then gives you three choices that fit the day you actually have.

Scores rank fit, recency and your choices. They do not replace availability or organiser checks.

01

Start with the real constraint

Choose when you can go before choosing the event. A seven-day window is useful for spontaneous plans; a thirty-day window gives stronger ticketed and specialist choices. Event Match removes completed listings before it calculates a result.

02

Use budget as a decision rule

Free-first does not mean every part of an event is free. The match uses the published price signal, while the event guide explains registration, timed entry and paid extras. Keep travel, food and booking fees in the full-day budget.

03

Mood beats an endless category list

Culture and design, live performance, sport, ideas and family-friendly are practical starting points rather than rigid labels. The score rewards a close match while still showing useful alternatives when the upcoming calendar is narrow.

04

Area protects the day

Choosing one area reduces cross-city travel and makes it easier to add food, parks or a second flexible stop. Leave area open when the event itself matters more than the journey.

05

Read the LONNOW guide first

Each result opens an internal guide with verified dates, planning context and the official checkpoint. The external booking or organiser source belongs at the end of the decision path, not on the discovery card.

06

Recheck before leaving

Programmes, capacities and transport can change. Reopen the official source from the guide on the day, then check TfL for the exact entrance and return route.
