Start with the current provider list

City Hall describes Skills Bootcamps as employer-designed short courses with employability support.

The programme is intended for adults seeking work, progression or a career change. A programme overview is not a live vacancy count for an individual intake.

The timetable can decide whether a course is usable

A course that looks ideal by subject may be impossible alongside shifts or caring responsibilities.

Ask for the intake date, weekly hours, teaching location and application evidence. Put those details beside each provider; only then is an online course meaningfully comparable with an in-person one.

Separate training from employment

Support with applications or interviews is valuable, but it is not an unconditional promise of a job.

Ask what the provider means by its outcome statement and which requirements you must meet. Do not leave existing work on the strength of a promotional headline.

Make a realistic weekly plan

Include travel, caring commitments and independent study when judging whether an intake fits.

Confirm any funding or residency conditions directly with the provider. This is a new course-selection guide, not a report that new places opened today or that every course is accepting applications.
