Read area guide ↗Shortlist only: inspect the street, housing cost and real door-to-door commute before deciding where to live.
Treat the result as a shortlist
A finder can organise trade-offs, but it cannot judge a street, building, school place or commute for you. Visit at the times you will actually use the area.
Separate visiting from living
A lively market day can be excellent for a visit and difficult beside a bedroom. Housing decisions need noise, costs, transport resilience and daily services.
Measure door to door
Compare the complete journey to work or study, including walking, interchange and a backup route.
Verify housing context
Use current listings, council information and professional advice where needed. LONNOW does not invent postcode-level price precision.
Use a three-area shortlist
Compare one obvious choice with two credible alternatives. Visit each using the same test: peak commute, supermarket, green space, evening noise and the street around a realistic home.
Record trade-offs, not scores
Write what improves and what becomes harder in every area. A single ranking hides whether higher rent buys time, whether nightlife costs sleep or whether more space creates a fragile commute.
