The date that matters is your ticket date
Do not assume every display takes place on 5 November.
Alexandra Palace and Battersea Park both advertise Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November for 2026. These are separate ticket choices at different venues.
Put the selected date into the group calendar and check the venue again at checkout.
North London: Alexandra Palace
The official programme distinguishes a Saturday festival atmosphere from an earlier, family-focused Sunday.
This is the better starting point if your group wants to make a larger outing of the display. Compare the two day programmes before choosing; the word “weekend” is not evidence that one ticket admits you on both days.
03South-west London: Battersea Park
The organiser confirms two nights with different entertainment.
Choose the day whose programme suits your group rather than relying on last year’s timetable. Open the official ticket and FAQ pages for current gate, last-entry and display times; no unverified showtime is promised here.
04Build a comfortable viewing plan
Decide how long everyone is comfortable standing outdoors.
Bring weather-appropriate layers and footwear, and check the organiser’s rules on bags, food and anything you intend to carry. Families should plan a meeting point, toilets and the journey home before entering the busiest area.
