SIRENS: a night of shared voices

Lisa Hannigan hosts a collaborative folk evening, shaped around shared songs and vocal arrangements rather than a single artist’s solo set.

Collaboration is the point

SIRENS developed from a Sounds from a Safe Harbour residency in Cork.

Lisa Hannigan hosts, with musical direction and arrangements by Theodora Byrne. The line-up includes Amanda Bergman, Kate Stables, Charlotte Cornfield, Tammy Adams, The Staves, Angie McMahon, Theodora Byrne Trio and Eve Owen.

Choose it for a collective vocal programme; no fixed song-by-song set list is confirmed here.

How to decide whether it suits you

A shared bill can appeal when you want discoveries alongside a familiar name.

Listen to a few of the announced artists before booking, then leave room for the collaborative format to differ from their recordings. If your main aim is one performer’s complete album or greatest-hits show, compare that artist’s own tour instead.

This guide is advance planning, not a review claiming to have heard the London performance.

Compare the actual ticket categories

Standard entry starts at £29, including the advertised £4 fee.

At the 15 October 2026 recheck, the concert page lists its £18 Young Barbican offer for eligible members aged 16–29, with no transaction fee and subject to availability. Access tickets include a free essential companion where needed through the venue’s Access Scheme.

Follow the concert’s booking conditions and check the basket; a membership offer is not an automatic discount for everyone.

Doors are not the concert start

The current event page separates 19:30 doors from a 20:00 performance.

It lists roughly two hours without an interval and warns of possible haze and strobe. Plan comfort breaks before going into the hall.

Keep a meal beforehand reasonably close to the venue, and do not promise your group a precise finishing minute when stage times are approximate.

Arrive at the Hall

Use Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London EC2Y 8DS and follow the Hall signs from Level G.

Check the venue access guide for the right approach if lifts, step-free travel or hearing support matter. Use TfL to choose the station and route that work for your starting point; a short-looking map route can be a poor choice if it includes stairs you need to avoid.

Nearby stops without a second deadline

A City of London walk can work before dinner if the weather and your available time suit it.

Keep any gallery visit separate from the concert booking and confirm its last entry. The Ryman exhibition guide is a possible earlier cultural stop, not a claim that your concert ticket includes the gallery.

If you mainly want an evening out, a meal and this performance are enough; extra reservations can make the plan less enjoyable.
