A colourful digital artwork lets visitors encounter planting from the perspective of pollinating insects. The underlying system was developed with horticulturalists, pollinator experts and a computer scientist.
02
Dates and place
Southbank Centre lists the work from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September, 11:00–22:00, on Riverside Terrace, Level 2. The film element lasts about 15 minutes.
03
Who it suits
The installation is free, unticketed and listed for all ages. Under-12s must be accompanied by an adult on the Southbank Centre site.
04
Turn the idea into action
The project’s wider tool can generate a planting scheme for a home, school or community space. Treat the visit as a prompt to compare conditions and pollinator needs, not a generic garden aesthetic.
05
Plan the visit
The terrace is outdoors. Check weather, the venue’s live access information and TfL before travelling; combine it with one nearby installation to avoid unnecessary cross-city transfers.
