The decision that saves the weekend
Choose the area before choosing extras. North Greenwich works for The O2 and Greenwich Peninsula; Waterloo works for Southbank Centre, the riverside and central walking routes. Crossing between them is possible, but building a tight multi-event schedule around that transfer creates unnecessary risk.
Saturday at The O2
Laver Cup runs two separately ticketed Saturday sessions with 11:30 and 17:30 doors. Six players represent Team Europe and six represent Team World, but the venue warns that appearances can change. Your AXS Mobile ID and the session printed on it—not a generic weekend listing—control entry.
Saturday on the South Bank
The classical opening week becomes especially dense. Mariam Batsashvili’s recital starts at 18:00, Britten’s War Requiem at 19:00 and Steve Reich programming continues into the evening. Pick by sound and scale; these are alternatives, not a three-stop itinerary.
Sunday choices
The final Laver Cup session has 10:30 doors. On the South Bank, Jean Rondeau’s Goldberg Variations begin at 14:00 and Steve Reich at 90 continues later. Neither venue source used here gives LONNOW permission to promise an exact finish, so leave the return journey adjustable.
Free and low-commitment additions
Around Southbank Centre, the riverside and public art route can sit before or after a ticketed event without another fixed booking. Around North Greenwich, use the peninsula as the buffer rather than scheduling a second timed attraction across London. Check admission and opening hours directly on the day.
Tickets, access and arrival
The O2 uses AXS Mobile ID for tickets bought through The O2 or AXS; load the ticket before joining the arena approach. North Greenwich is the nearest Tube station. Waterloo is the closest major interchange for Southbank Centre. Access routes vary by hall and event, so open the relevant official access page before travel.
What LONNOW verified
Dates, published door times and programme choices were checked against the direct venue pages on 20 September 2026. Player appearances, ticket availability, event-specific access and operational changes remain controlled by the organisers. Missing finish times or broadcast details have not been guessed.
