Frieze week comes to London
Frieze London and Frieze Masters run from 14 to 18 October. The free outdoor sculpture programme gives the week a different, lower-budget route.

Two fairs, two ways of looking
Frieze London focuses on contemporary work and living artists.
Nearby Frieze Masters places older work in conversation with contemporary practice. Both have official dates of 14–18 October.
Before choosing a pass, decide whether you want discovery of current artists, an art-history perspective or time in both fairs.

The headline date range is not a guarantee that every ticket gives access on every day.
Use the organiser’s ticket page to compare the day, time and fair covered by your purchase. Our suggestion is to make one booking the anchor rather than filling the day with competing reservations.
Leave room to stop at work that interests you.
A free route through the week
Frieze Sculpture runs in the park’s English Gardens until 1 November and is free to visit.
That outdoor programme is a separate experience from admission to the fair tents. It suits a shorter art outing or a flexible day with someone who wants to spend more time outside.
Bring a weather-appropriate layer and make an indoor fallback part of your own route.
Make the visit personal
Write down one question before you go: an artist to discover, a medium to understand or a historical period to compare.
A small focus makes a large art week easier to navigate. Take breaks between concentrated looking, and avoid judging a day by the number of stands covered.
The aim is a few memorable encounters, not an exhaustive checklist.
