LONDON GUIDE
Greenwich by DLR or river bus: compare the journey you actually want
A river journey can be part of the outing; a rail journey may serve a different priority. Compare the complete route to the Greenwich destination, not just two attractive transport names.

If the journey is part of the day
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers provides its own pier map, timetable and service alerts.
Check the relevant sailing and fare rather than assuming it is included in an ordinary Tube journey. The pier-to-destination walk still matters.

If timing is the priority
Use TfL’s DLR information and journey planner to compare the actual departure and arrival points.
A station’s name is not proof that it is the best stop for every Greenwich attraction. Read current service and access details.
Compare what matters to the group
Cost, walking, seating needs and the desire for river views are legitimate but different criteria.
This guide does not calculate a live fare, guarantee a sailing or claim one option is always quicker.
