London bus strikes September 2026: dates and affected routes
Arriva London North strike action is planned on several September dates, with little or no service expected on affected routes in north, east and central London.
September strike dates
TfL lists disruption between 04:00 Friday 4 September and 04:30 Saturday 5 September; 04:00 Monday 7 September to 04:30 Tuesday 8 September; 04:00 Friday 18 September to 04:30 Saturday 19 September; and 04:00 Monday 21 September to 04:30 Tuesday 22 September.

TfL lists routes 19, 29, 34, 41, 66, 67, 76, 102, 103, 121, 141, 149, 150, 158, 175, 191, 192, 217, 221, 243, 248, 254, 259, 279, 307, 313, 329, 341, 349, 370, 375, 377, 616, 675, SL1, SL2, W3, W4, W6, N19, N29, N41 and N279.
What TfL expects
TfL says little or no service is expected on affected routes if the strikes proceed. Other local buses, Tube and rail services may be busier than usual. Night services on the evening before action begins are expected to operate normally, but passengers should verify live information.
Build an alternative journey
Use TfL Go or Journey Planner close to departure, then compare rail, Tube, walking and cycling alternatives. A different bus route may also be crowded or share part of the disrupted corridor. Leave earlier and avoid a chain of tight connections when the appointment is important.
Check the return separately
A workable morning route may not be the best option later in the day. Save the homeward journey and watch the exact end time, especially around overnight boundaries. Keep enough phone battery and a payment method that works across the alternative services.
