GETTING AROUND
London airports: choose the right route into the city
The cheapest flight is not always the cheapest arrival. Compare landing time, final destination, luggage and the full door-to-door journey.

Start with the final postcode
Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend serve different corridors. Map the destination before comparing airport transfers.
Price the whole transfer
Include rail or coach fares, local interchange, luggage and the cost of a late arrival. A central train terminal is not the end of most journeys.
Allow recovery time
Border control, baggage and disruption make tightly timed onward tickets risky. Leave a realistic buffer, especially on separate bookings.
Plan the last mile
Check the final Tube, bus or taxi leg and overnight alternatives. Save the address and route offline before flying.
